Based in Toronto, Ontario, the Traumatology Institute (Canada) is an international organization that provides mental health consulting and training specifically for care after trauma. Its mission is to increase understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress and the options available through trauma-informed care. The institute was founded in 1998 by Dr. Anna B. The training curriculum offers certifications in areas such as Field Trauma Response, Clinical Traumatology, Community & Workplace Traumatology, Compassion Fatigue Care, School Crisis Response, and Justice/Corrections Traumatology, as well as the Trauma Recovery Program Online. This curriculum also served as the foundational training for Certified Traumatologists who provided recovery interventions to over 4,700 people after the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York City, and has been used to train thousands of traumatologists both in Canada and abroad. Dr. Baranowsky is the author of *Trauma Practice: Tools for Stabilization & Recovery* (3rd ed., 2015, with Gentry) and *What is PTSD? 3 Steps to Healing Trauma* (2012, with Lauer), the latter of which was a finalist in the Health category of the 2013 International Book Awards.
